ROBERT'S RULES

Hi Leos,

So, some of you guys find that the club's voting system a little confusing, and for that, I am going to try my best to explain a bit....

First off, it isn't just us that use this procedure to vote, all the Leo's club around the world does also, and many other organizations and corporations use this method as well.

1) A main motion is made
- what this is, is basically a proposed ideas or suggestion by anyone in the club.

2) A Seconded is made
- this vote is made by the seconder, anyone in the club who says "I second the motion.", means that there is someone who is interested in the proposed idea or suggestion, and with this"seconded vote" it allows the proposal to continue exist, and also allowing the rest of the club to consider about the proposal.

3) Discussions & Debate
- This is a time that allows club members who approve the proposal to make some comments, and club members who disagree it to make their says.

4) Call to vote
- The president will make a call for all members for a final vote at the end of the discussions & debate, and by show of hands to determine if the proposal is to be passed or strike out.

hmm... hope this helps.
